Kelley Parris, Executive Director

Kelley Parris has been the Executive Director/CEO of the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County, Florida for the last eight years. The Children’s Board funds approximately sixty local organizations to ensure children are:

  • Ready to Learn;
  • Developmentally on Track;
  • Healthy and Safe;
  • and in Stable Families

Kelley’s almost thirty-year career includes seventeen years leading a regional comprehensive mental health agency; starting as the Director of Prevention Services, Director of Quality Assurance, and then Executive Director.

Kelley served as the Executive Director of the Alabama State Department of Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention, where several programs were developed and implemented which received national recognition to prevent child death from Abusive Head Trauma and Unsafe Sleep. Kelley served as the Chair of the Quality Assurance Committee for the State Department of Human Resources; State Council on Violence Against Women; Chief Justice Task Force on Children and Families and the State Board of Foster and Adoptive Parents.

Kelley holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama and a master’s degree from Troy State University.
