Subsidized Child Care Attrition Study

In order to maintain eligibility for child care subsidies, families are required to re-certify at least annually. However, in Hillsborough County, Florida, there has been an unprecedented increase in the number of families not completing the re-certification process, resulting in an under-utilization of state and federal funds allocated for child care subsidies. Using telephone surveys, this study investigates the reasons why families have not re-certified for subsidize childcare funding in Hillsborough County. The results of this study will be used to develop strategies to decrease rates of attrition from subsidized childcare in the county.

A Conceptual Framework for Service Planning for Children and Families Download

Available on-line and in print. The Children's Board began this document with a desire to develop a user-friendly publication to describe the resiliency framework theory. The Children's Board offers this document as a guideline for the planning and delivery of children's services. The framework was developed for the community of caretakers with the intent of assisting them in favorably impacting the lives of children in Hillsborough County.
