Childrens Board's Public Art Gallery
The Children’s Board of Hillsborough County welcomes you to first art gallery in Tampa created especially to showcase children’s art from the human service community, the county school system, and the exceptional education system.
The Gallery works with professional artists to develop themed art installations that celebrate the diverse artistic talent of all Hillsborough County children, including those with special needs and challenges; as well as gifted students.
The benefits of art projects for children include, but are not limited to: an increase in self esteem; successful school experiences; increased socialization skills; a strengthening of communication skills; and pride in seeing their art displayed.
Each year, hundreds of citizens, families and civic groups will visit the Gallery is scheduled to travel to key county buildings, businesses, libraries and other art venues. To date, the Gallery has directly served over 1,000 children and been viewed by more than 150,000 citizens.
