Heart Gallery of Tampa Bay
The Heart Gallery of Tampa Bay is a collaborative effort between the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County and Hillsborough Kids, Inc. that’s dedicated to recruiting foster and adoptive families, and raising awareness about the hundreds of children needing homes in our community.
The Gallery is one of more than 90 similar galleries across the country and the first in the nation to feature an interactive exhibit with audio messages from waiting children. The Heart Gallery of Tampa Bay model has been replicated in approximately 20 communities around the country.
The Heart Gallery has demonstrated unprecedented success in finding adoptive homes for foster children in our community. Last year, the Heart Gallery of Tampa Bay matched nearly 40% of its featured children with potential adoptive families. The Gallery travels to major community venues including area malls, museums, public attractions and churches, and is viewed by more than 350,000 citizens annually.
With your help, we can increase our success by bringing our community closer to the faces and voices of children waiting for a “forever family.” Whether you’re interested in adopting, fostering or volunteering, the Heart Gallery is a photographic journey many have called, “an unforgettable experience.”
