FY 12 Program Budget
The Children’s Board of Hillsborough County generates revenue to promote the health, safety and well-being of children and families. CBHC increases and reinvests funding with our provider partners (non-profit social service organizations) to serve children and families in our community in the areas of promoting healthy births, improving readiness for school, advancing school achievement, providing quality out-of-school time activities, keeping children safe and out of trouble, and by helping families succeed through supports and services that promote self-sufficiency.
Our budget also supplies the local “match” for state and federal grants and programs (e.g., Medicaid and Adoption Assistance), assists grassroots and faith-based organizations to help more people, and supports local non-profit organizations through training, technical assistance and supports for sustaining successful businesses.
Program Funding

The Children’s Board returns over 80% of its revenue to the community through annual grants to non-profit organizations who are working to assure that babies are born healthy, are ready for school and academic success, and to support families and communities.
