Getting Ready for School

The programs in this section work to improve the quality in early childhood education settings and teach parents about educational activities they can do with their children to prepare their social, emotional, intellectual and physical development so that they are ready to enter kindergarten. When a child:

  • has a good, strong relationship with his or her primary caregivers
  • is on track physical, social, emotional and intellectual development
  • attends a high quality childcare and/or early education environment
he or she is ready to do well in school.
