Each year the Children's Board of Hillsborough County produces a spiral-bound printed Family Guide to Services in Hillsborough County.

In an effort to take advantage of today's technology, the Children's Board now delivers the guide in an e-format specifically geared to iPhone and iPod Touch devices.

The Board believes this platform will place valuable information in the hands of citizens, while allowing the agency to reduce the use of costlier printed guides.

The app contains information about who the Children's Board of Hillsborough County (CBHC) is - what the agency does - and how they make a difference in the lives of families throughout the community.

All Board Member profiles are listed, complete with biographies and pictures. A message from the Children's Board's CEO is also available in the application.

The app lists all the programs which CBHC funds. Each program listing contains:

• the amount funded
• how long it's been funded
• agency details (address, map layouts)
• contact names, emails, and phone and fax numbers
• driving directions to the program from your current location
• what the program provides
• who the program serves

Data in the application will be updated as new information is made available
