Your Children's Board Foundation
Your Children's Board Foundation was developed with the ultimate goal of promoting the health, well-being and development of Hillsborough County by supporting activities that often fall outside the Board’s “normal” funding capacity, but nevertheless help our community flourish.
The Foundation was created for “outside the box” thinkers and understands that often, the best ideas are the most unconventional. We utilize Foundation dollars to first shape ideas and then help them blossom into full-functioning, self-sustaining ventures. In short, the Children’s Board Foundation:
• Studies and investigates enterprising and innovative opportunities.
• Utilizes dollars to fill funding gaps in our community.
• Concentrates on activities that generate revenue for the community.
• Helps current community partners launch enterprising initiatives.
Most recently, the Foundation worked in partnership with Leadership Tampa Philanthropy in Action and the Verizon Foundation to provide micro-lending opportunities that will ultimately help entrepreneurs in Hillsborough County launch their small business dreams. The hope is that one day, these newly formed businesses will employ individuals in our community and eventually help families thrive.
The Foundation is optimistic with our approach and is ready to help lead Hillsborough County towards the future. By helping cultivate innovative ideas, and ensuring their sustainability, the Children’s Board Foundation continually works on behalf of citizens to make our community the best place to live, work and raise a family.
